She was predeceased by: her father Donald Dayton; her brothers, Gregory and Gordon Dayton; and her grandparents, Arlo, Jeanette Dayton, Fred and LaVanch Van Stone.
She is survived by: her mother Fae Dayton (Van Stone) of Stratford, SD; her husband Troy Opdahl of Hazel, SD; her children, Taryn Opdahl and Talayna Opdahl of Hazel, SD; her parents-in-law, Gregory and Dixie Opdahl of Hayti, SD; and her siblings, Barbara Hoops (James) of Ferney, SD, Becky Thyen (Daniel) of Waverly, SD, Stacey Frink (Joel) of Aberdeen, SD, Steven Dayton (Julie), Shad Wood (Darcy) of Stratford, SD and Kara Paulson (Andy) of Groton, SD. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
