He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Hlavinka and Ella Marie Hlavinka (Gamble) of McLaughlin, SD.; his wife Geraldine Schmidt (Gerry); his parents-in-law, John and Bertha Schmidt; his brother Raymond Hlavinka; and his grandson Zachary Taylor.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Ryan Taylor (Rhoda) of Great Falls, MT, Annie Martinez (Olbin) of Emery, SD, John Taylor of Mitchell, SD, Amy Mick (Jon), Adam Martinez of Anchorage, AK, Bethany Singrey of Watertown, SD, Josiah Singrey, Micah Singrey of Hazel, SD, Devaron Hlavinka and Emily Hlavinka of Castlewood, SD.; his great grandchildren, Brendan, Bennett, Marin Mick of Anchorage, AK, Dontae, Winston and Nevaeh Taylor of Great Falls, MT.; his brothers, Paul Hlavinka, Robert Hlavinka, Leonard Hlavinka and Richard Hlavinka; and his siblings-in-law, Willmar Schmidt (Mary) and Bernice Schmidt. He is also survived by three daughters and one son.
