It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger Floyd Gilbert of Hartford, South Dakota, who passed away on November 3, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Gilbert and Jean Gilbert (Inbody); his former wife Teena Lloyd; his stepson Brian; and his brothers-in-law, Kenny Mitchell and Kerwin Hulbert.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Watkins of Hartford; his children, Matthew Gilbert (Jamie) of Sioux City, Connie Gilbert of Ames, Orville Sangl of Sioux Valley, MN, Melissa Johnson (Tony) of South Dakota, Kristine Hoss (Mark) of Spirit Lake and Julie Lamaack (Gene) of Tendoy, ID; his grandchildren, Wiley, Isaiah, Capri, Declan, Greyson, Lainey, Shamrea, Danielle, Ryan, Jason, Sara, Anna, Jesse and Abrielle; and his sisters, Fern, Carol and Gloria. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
