He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carl Kretzschmar and Helen Kretzschmar (Spaniol); his former wives, Phyllis Hanson and Vivian Maas; his children, Dean Kretzschmar (Kris) of Baltic, SD, Troy Kretzschmar (Michelle) of Crooks, SD and Jennifer Waege of Hartford, SD; his sister Sharon Johnson; and his stepdaughter Dawn Heer. He was also cherished by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
