It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Duane D. Carey of Hartford, South Dakota, born in Mitchell, South Dakota, who passed away on June 7, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Carey and Bessie Carey (VanDer Lugt). He is survived by: his wife Anita Schiddel of Hartford; his sons, Adam of Brandon and Matt (Amber) of Sioux Falls; his siblings, Roger of Mitchell, Karen Bodlak (Allan) of Wakefield, NE and David (Carrie) of Tea; and his nephews, Michal and Jonathan Bodlak.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
