He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin "Bud" Steineke and Virginia Steineke (Speilmann); his siblings, Larry, Jerry, Donna O'Connell (Jim), Sharon Kelley (Donald), Shirley Kelley (Jerry) and Bonnie Grayson (Dick); his parents-in-law, Frank and Ada Van Diepen; and his nephews, Mike Kelley and Richard Steineke.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Van Diepen; his children, Terry of Sioux Falls, Deb St. Clair of Brandon and Crystal Lawrence (Jerrid) of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Levi, Dylan (Haley), Jordan (Brookelyn), DJ, Dakotah (Amber), Tanner and Shaylee; his great grandchildren, Leigha, Savvy and Addy; his daughter Camille Hinrickson (Mark); his brothers, Melvin "Dick" Steineke (Joanne) and Gary Steineke (Laura); and his sisters-in-law, Penny Steineke and Marilyn Steineke.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kinzley Funeral Chapel (100 N Mundt Ave, Hartford, SD 57033). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. George Catholic Church (408 S Western Ave, Hartford, SD 57033).
