He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Jessen and Helena Jessen (Hieb); his wife Bernetta Fenske; his daughter Kay; his parents-in-law, Ernest and Cecelia Fenske; and his siblings-in-law, Marlys Jessen, Kenneth Block and Delmore Fenske.
He is survived by: his sons, Bradley and Ron (Tammy); his brother Delmore; his children, Brad (Theresa) and Kathy Jessen (Rick Schwachtgen); his granddaughters, Ericka Phelps (Chris), Stephanie Sternhagen (Jacob), Erin Vukas (Andy), Stacey Oberg (Jarrod) and Sami Koep (Dan); his great grandchildren, Brody, Henrik, Warren, Reese, Britta, Addison, June, August, Iver and Graham; his siblings, Irvin Jessen (Kathy), Alfred Jessen (Deanna), Herb Jessen (Cynthia) and Eleanor Block; and his siblings-in-law, Bethel Fenske, Mary Lou Kurtzbein (Duaine) and James Fenske (Janet). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
