It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steven J. Schmidt of Harrisburg, South Dakota, born in Winner, South Dakota, who passed away on October 26, 2023, at the age of 47, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Schmidt and Candace Schmidt (Hanson); his brother Jake; and his grandparents, Theodore Schmidt, Ervin and Viola Hanson.
He is survived by: his wife Kimberly Olson; his children, Jaylen, Brecken and Treyton of Harrisburg, SD; his siblings, Dan Schmidt (Alyssa) of Sioux Falls, SD and Candy Kaye Schmidt (Nate Jarosik) of Edgar, NE; and his grandmother Jean Schmidt of Spearfish, SD. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends.
