It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Hofer of Harrisburg, South Dakota, born in Huron, South Dakota, who passed away on July 25, 2023, at the age of 45, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Hofer and Karla Hofer (Kolb) of Mitchell, SD; his brother Tim Moon; his grandmother Ever Andresen of Mitchell, SD; his brothers, John Hofer (Beth) of Basehor, KS and Joey Hofer (Jodi) of Mitchell, SD; his nieces and nephews, Kiesha, Keira, Paige, Piper, Brock, Ty, Cole and Kale; and his grandparents, Basil Kolb, Joe, Elaine Hofer and Alan Andresen.

In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations to organizations important to Basil.
