We bid farewell to Dorothy Jane Kirkbride of Harrisburg, South Dakota, born in Springfield, Missouri, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 18, 2024 at the age of 99. Dorothy Jane touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Elias and Dorothy Mae Cribbs (Wing); her husband Clyde Kirkbride; her daughter Sharon Arndt; and her grandson Frank Arndt.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Brown of Clever, MO, Katie Gilmore (Paul), Tom Kirkbride of Brookings and Steve Kirkbride of Northglenn, CO; her grandchildren, Erika Klimecky (Chris), Kelsey Gilmore-Futeral (Stephan) and Austin Brown (Rachel); and her stepgrandson Jason Gilmore (Debora). She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren and 4 step greatgrandchildren.
In 2020 after a short hospitalization, during Covid shutdown, she happily moved in with her daughter and son in law where she resided until her death on August 18, 2024 at age 99 years, 11 months.
