It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gordon Nelson of Groton, South Dakota, born in Aberdeen, South Dakota, who passed away on December 16, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Nelson and Margaret Nelson (Stefan); his brother Marvin; and his granddaughter Grace Anne Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Dorene Sager; his children, Carmel Willett (Gary) of Carver, MN and Corey Nelson (Brenda) of Rochester, MN; his grandsons, Christopher Willett (Cassie) of Burnsville, MN, Nicholas Willett of Aurora, CO and Isaac Nelson of Rochester, MN; his sister-in-law Karen Nelson of Watertown, SD.; his niece Nicole Pieske (Nelson-Williams); his sister-in-law JoAnn Russ of Pueblo, CO; and his nephews, Ian Russ and Kyle Russ of Pueblo, CO.
