Dennis K. Larson Obituary
The memory of Dennis K. Larson of Groton, South Dakota, who passed away on February 18, 2025 at the age of 84, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford M. Larson and Alice Mabel Larson (Johnson); his in-laws, Kenneth and Rose Jones; his brother Clark Larson; and his siblings-in-law, James L. Jones, Brian Jones, Andy Skovran, Bonnie Larson and Marlene Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Jones; his children, Eric (Becky) and LaRae Blote (Steve); his grandchildren, Connor, Lauren Larson (Matthew Billion), Emily and Grace Blote; his siblings, Dale Larson, Roger Larson (Diane) and Joyce Skovran; and his siblings-in-law, Kenny Jones (Sherry) and Penny Stolle (Bill). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church (1006 N 2nd St, Groton, SD 57445). A prayer was held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers Dennis requested any memorial contributions be directed to the following: Palliative Care/Hospice Care at Avera St. Luke's Hospital, Lutheran Outdoors, Lutheran Social Services, Groton Baseball Association, or the Northern State University Foundation.
