He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Leroy and Eva Maxine Ludens; and his brothers, Rodney and Kevin. He is survived by: his son Thomas Totton; his former wife Ann Therese Gaffney; his son Zachary Dean; his siblings, Allen (Sioux Falls), Ronald (Cindy), Marilee Erfman (Chip), Valerie Liesinger (Gerry) and Janelle Songstad (Bret); and his sister-in-law Brenda (Chancellor). He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his honor at the Dougherty Hospice House, where he was able to peacefully depart this life on his own terms.
