He was predeceased by: his parents, William B. Anderson and Mildred H. Anderson (Huyck); his siblings, Phoebe, Virginia Mikkelson, Roxy Jacobs, Richard and Roger Anderson; and his parents-in-law, Paul and Emma Liebig.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Liebig; his children, Jerard Anderson (Lisa) of West Fargo, ND, Monica Poeppel (Robert), Melissa Haala (Tony) of New Ulm, MN and Maisie Smith (Chad) of Madison, SD; his grandchildren, Anthony Poeppel (Lindsey), Chelsey Cronin (Corey), Casey (Bri Schrotberger), Amber Anderson, Graden Anderson, Adleigh Haala, Paiton and Kennedy Smith; his great grandchildren, Rayna, Coretta, Tommy Cronin, Jack and Ivy Poeppel; his sisters, Judith Michlitsch (Ron) and Constance Kiernan (Joel Christiansen); and his siblings-in-law, Rudy Jacobs and Pat Anderson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the United Methodist Church (101 E Garfield Ave, Gettysburg, SD 57442). A prayer was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
