He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Kula and Inez Kula (Hall); and his brother Joseph. He is survived by: his wife Diane Schaefer; his daughters, Erin Shelton (Kelly) and Sara Van Roekel (Eric); his grandchildren, Ava Shelton, Levi Shelton and Bria Van Roekel; his siblings, Thomas Kula (Kathy), Jane Jakubec (Ladia), Joan Wagner (Scott) and Mary Minnis (John); his aunt Janice Schoumaker; and his uncle Leo Hall (Judy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (203 E Garfield Ave, Gettysburg, SD 57442). A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery (203 E Garfield Ave, Gettysburg, SD 57442).
