He is survived by: his wife Shirley Eloise Hult; his children, Chuck Kunstle of Beresford, SD, Kay Tully of Ft. Collins, CO, Bill Kunstle (Jill) of Sioux Falls, SD and Steve Kunstle (Rozann) of Gettysburg, SD; his grandchildren, Heidi DeVries (Nathan) of Vermillion, SD, Tom Kunstle (Jenna) of Orange City, IA, Nick Kunstle of Raleigh, NC, Mike Kunstle (Erin) of Alexandria, MN, Brittny Mueller (Andrew) of Topeka, KS and Zach Fuller of Sioux Falls, SD; his great grandchildren, Hope DeVries, J. D. DeVries, Benjamin Kunstle, Jake Kunstle, Olivia Kunstle and Ryker Kunstle; and his brother Howard Kunstle (Karen) of Colorado Springs, CO..
