He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Philip R. Steckley and Myrtle B. Steckley (Scribner); his mother-in-law Sharon Varilek; his grandchildren, Matthew Mushitz, Samantha Schnabel, Luke Mushitz, Shelby VanOverschelde, Stephanie Long, Brian Biddle, Marcia Bierman, Nichole Simmermon and Christopher Dvorak; his great grandchildren, McKenzie, Trace, Zoe, Allison, Katherine, Leonard, Charles, Claire, Gavin, Carly and Cheyenne; and his siblings, Veda Wojciechowski (Don), Alvin Steckley (Angela) and Judith Button (Jerome). He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
