He was predeceased by: his parents, Jaroslav "Jerry" Pavlis and Rose Belle Pavlis (Fijala); his stepmother Mildred Pavlis (Iona); his children, Lyle (Judy) and Cheryl (Bob Jaeger); his son-in-law Dale Sybesma; his great grandchild Andrew Sybesma; his siblings, Beatrice Mushitz (Victor) and Duane Pavlis (Sonny); and his in-laws, Leo (Marjorie), Selmer Nelson (Nadine), Darleen and Russell Nelson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jean Sybesma and Vicky Pavlis; his grandchildren, Julie Boehmke (Brian) of Webster, MN, Denise Ehlers (David) of Newcastle, WY, Gloria Horvath of Dolton, SD, Lori Dewald (Glen) of Delmont, SD, Curtis Sybesma (Tiffany) of Geddes, SD, Valerie Strand (Gabe) of Platte, SD and Cindy Lucas (Doug) of Academy, SD; his great grandchildren, Rachel Boehmke (Brody Swanson), Katie Travaille, Dillon Ehlers (Kiana), Rachel Ehlers (Lucas Jacobson), Austin Horvath, Ashley Bultsma (Blake), Aaron Horvath, Emily Dewald, Leah Dewald, Cameron Sybesma, Dillon Lucas and Jersey Lucas; his great great grandchild Lennox Marie Ehlers; and also, Jackson and English.
