He is survived by: his wife Carol Meis; his children, Kevin Oberbroekling of Geddes, Renee Thies (Jeffrey) of Hay Springs, NE, Brian Oberbroekling (Jennifer) of Geddes and Tyler Oberbroekling of Geddes; his grandchildren, Caden Oberbroekling, Bo Thies, Randi Oberbroekling, Hunter Thies and Lauren Oberbroekling; his siblings, Kathy Thompson of Armour, SD, Mary Holzinger of Laurel, Montana and Eugene Oberbroekling (Jayne) of Boise, Idaho.; his in-laws, Susan Dufek (Rick), Janis Westendorf (Pat) and Mark Meis (Laurie); and his godchildren, Brian Huggins, Jennifer Soucy (Oberbroekling) and Mackenzie Oberbroekling.
