It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley J Jacobson of Garretson, South Dakota, born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on January 15, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Christensen and Violette Christensen (Tokheim); and her in-laws, Kenneth and Arvella Jacobson. She is survived by: her husband Dwayne "Jake" Jacobson; her children, Matthew Jacobson (Heather) of Garretson and Amanda Schotzko (Nick) of Garretson; her grandchildren, Noah, Lucas Schotzko, Elsa and Ingrid Jacobson; and her brothers, Leland Christensen (Merry) and Richard Christensen (Bobbi).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family, which will be directed to the Alzheimer's Association of South Dakota and the Garretson School Playground Equipment Fund.
