He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lois Bly and Myrle Bly (Bergin); his former wife Gloria (Branham); his children, Paul Bly and Sheila Bly; his granddaughters, Eliana and Meron Bly; and his siblings, David Bly (Cheryl), Mary Dybvig (Ron), Mark Bly (Cat) and Ruth Casanova (Jerry). He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
