He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Lawrence and Nettie Reed; his parents, Charles Reed and Eloise Reed; and his son Joshua Aaron Reed (Gretchen Ann Sturgis).
He is survived by: his former wives, Carla Chance of Carthage and Mary Skinner of Sturgis; his wife Gretchen Ann Sturgis of Sterling; and his children, Steven Reed (Stacie), Anne Wagner (Dan), Scott Reed (Evi), Carly Reed and Matthew Reed of Rapid City, SD. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
