With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marvin Swenson (Garretson, South Dakota), who passed away on September 4, 2021 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Swenson and Genevieve Swenson (Sigdestad); his wife Charlotte Basche; his son Mark; his great grandchild Ensley; and his siblings, Johan, Edward, Pearl and Evangeline.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Swenson (Cheryl) of Sherman, SD, Jonathan Swenson of Sherman, SD and Michele Jones (David) of Pipestone, MN; his daughter-in-law Lisa Swenson of Sioux Falls, SD; and his sister Mary Ann Swenson of Sioux Falls, SD. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Memorials may be made in Marvin's name to the Highland Lutheran Church.
