It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Delmar D. Ortman of Freeman, South Dakota, who passed away on April 23, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father David C. Ortman; his wife Maxine Mueller; his son-in-law Karl Detrich; and his siblings-in-law, Elrod Kaufman, Bruce Mueller and Elva Mueller.
He is survived by: his children, David Elliott (Ann Marchand), John Carlton (Linda) and Jean Detrich; his grandchildren, Sarah Burton (Josh), Anna Wastell (Chad), Michael Ortman (Liz), Neah Ortman and Danielle Gentile (Joe); his great grandchildren, Dalya, Miridian Burton, Elijah, Malachi Wastell and JD Gentile; and his sister-in-law Harriet Kaufman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
