It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Aaker of Frankfort, South Dakota, born in Vienna, South Dakota, who passed away on May 27, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Aaker and Elvira Aaker (Steen); his sister Marlys Mathews (Aaker); his parents-in-law, Clarence and Dorothy Kraus; his brothers-in-law, Donald "Buzz" Kraus, Harold "Butch" Kraus and James Carr; and his nephew John Carr.

He is survived by: his daughter Shari Kastein (Bill) of Rock Rapids, IA; his wife Nancy Kraus of Frankfort; his children, Terry Aaker (Anita), Rick Aaker (Renee) of Sioux Falls, SD, Kari Lemmer (Doug) of Redfield, SD and Kori Hickle (Craig) of Papillion, NE.; and his brother Don Aaker (Sheila) of Brandon, SD. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
