She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Kraus and Dorothy Kraus (Liebig); her husband Dick; her siblings, Donald'Buzz'Kraus, Harold'Butch'Kraus and Violet Rose Kraus; her brother-in-law James Carr; her nephew John Carr; her mother-in-law Elvira Aaker; and her sister-in-law Marlys Mathews (Jack).
She is survived by: her children, Terry Aaker (Anita), Shari Kastein (Bill) of Rock Rapids, IA, Rick Aaker (Renee) of Sioux Falls, SD, Kari Lemmer (Doug) of Redfield and Kori Hickle (Craig) of Papillion, NE.; her siblings, Donna'Jean'Carr of Aberdeen, Ken Kraus (Florence) of Aberdeen and Bill Kraus (Dar) of Northville, SD; and her siblings-in-law, Veronica Kraus of Redfield and Don Aaker (Sheila) of Brandon, SD. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hyke Funeral Home (101 E 7th Ave, Redfield, SD 57469). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
