He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Surrounded of Fort Thompson; his wife Goldie Surrounded (Little Eagle); his daughter Cynthia Packard of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Aaliyah Walking Bull, Jeremy Packard, Jonathan Packard, Jolene Packard, Joseph Packard IV, Jesse Packard, Nikki Packard, Michelle Packard, Rachel Packard, Angel Drapeau, Kyle Blue Bird, Skyler Blue Bird, Arnetta Packard, Ricky Wounded Knee, Ericka Wounded Knee and Mark Stengal; his sisters, Audrey Surrounded of Pierre, SD, Grace Hopkins of Chamberlain, SD and Rosemond of Seattle, WA; and his nephews, Dennis Wounded Knee of Fort Thompson and Justin Wounded Knee of Pierre, SD. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren.
