She was predeceased by: her parents, James Byrne and Beulah Byrne (Klingaman); her husband Charles F. Thompson; her daughter Gaila Rose; and her brother Leroy Byrne.

She is survived by: her children, Lola Scott (Brian), Jim Johnson and Mike Johnson (Tracee); her grandchildren, Rosemarie Shoop (Loren), Vivian, Rochelle Lamphere (Lane), Meghan (Luke O'Dea), Fort Pierre, Sara Jean Johnson, Sadee and Henry Johnson; and her great grandchildren, Davin Yost (Nataie), Sioux Falls, Karalynn Yost, Lydiah, Maysie Kuipers, Vivian, Dallys Day, Copelee O'Dea and Fort Pierre. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends.
