He was predeceased by: his grandfather Kenny Harmon; his grandson Olly Hicks; his nephew Jackson Vetch; his niece Trinity Hicks-Tubbs; and his grandparents, Orville, Dee Hicks and Marilyn Harmon.
He is survived by: his parents, Gary N. Hicks (Debbie) of Arizona and Dena R. Harmon (Kelly) of South Dakota; his wife Tara Hicks (Shonrock); his son Weston Hicks; his granddaughter Paisley; his daughter Matiah Weber (Wyatt); his sister Tanya Hicks (Emil); his nieces and nephews, EJ, Sydney, Maverick, Marilyn, Charlotte and Rosemary of South Dakota; his brothers, Weston Harmon (Marylou) and Sidney; his niece Louise; his nephew Dillon of Canada; his brothers, Elijah Hicks of Arizona and McKenzie Vosberg (Kersi); his nieces, Payton, Riley and Lexi of South Dakota; his brother Jorgen Vosberg (Kim); his nephew Owen of South Dakota; and his brothers, Joshua Vosberg of Minnesota and Ryker Vosberg of Minnesota.
A wake was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 5:30 PM at the James and Tara Hicks Home (21210 288th Ave, Fort Pierre, SD 57532). A prayer was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Fort Pierre Congregational Church. A burial was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at the Scotty Philip Cemetery.
