He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Huebner and Lucille Huebner (Gilbertson); his sisters, Joanne Cowan and Judy Swanson; his father-in-law Earl Elaine Sargent; his siblings-in-law, David Sargent, Tom Sargent and Linda Sargent Walker; his nephews, Dwayne Walker and Mathew Autre; and his niece Nancy Jo West-Bailey.

He is survived by: his wife Kay Huebner (Sargent); and his children, James Huebner (Tara) of Fort Pierre and Shelly Gette (Troy) of Fort Pierre.
