He is survived by: his siblings, German, Meta Cox, Delores Muslik of Gregory, SD, L. H. Kerner of Gregory, SD, Richard Kerner of Burke, SD and LaMone Kerner of Burke, SD. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
