He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Paulson and Hilma Paulson (Rislov); his parents-in-law, Carl and Doris Nelsen; his brothers, Roger, Dayton and Paul; and his brothers-in-law, Judean Schwinger, Woody Sumner and Lowell Nelsen.
He is survived by: his wife Pearl Nelsen of Florence; his daughters, Laurie Maag (Mark) and Linda Halse (Larry) of Florence; his great grandchild Jamie Maag; his children, Lauren, Lincoln and Melissa Tschakert (Jared); his grandchildren, Kyra and Jackson; his child Ashley Engelhart (Mike); his grandchildren, Colby and Aspen; his children, Joe Maag and Jenna Jewell (Adam); his granddaughters, Adrienne and Amelia; his daughter Jill Weatherford (Justin); his grandchild Kolt; his son Justin Halse (Madison); his siblings, Howard Paulson (Barb), Bonnie Schwinger and Dianne Sumner of Watertown; and his siblings-in-law, Jan Malquist (Tom Johnson) of Eagan, MN, Donna Muller (Larry) of Mesa, AZ, Rosie Nelsen of Ohio, Jeri Paulson of Washington, Lynn Paulson of Crosby, MN, Dean Nelsen (Fran) of Golden, CO and Dale Nelsen (Sue) of Florence. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in memory of Ron to the Dexter Cemetery or New Helgen Lutheran Church.
