He is survived by: his wife Susan Hofer; his children, Pam Swenson (Michael) of Canton, SD, Marcie Simons (Kelly) of Ft. Pierre, SD and Mark Lokken (Lana) of Flandreau; his grandchildren, Jeremy Swenson (Stephanie), Jared Swenson (Lauren), John Swenson (Marty), Jennifer Larson (Sonny), Jessica Reeves (Rio), Shay Simons, Evangeline Silverstorm (Brandon) and Stephen Lokken; his great grandchildren, Ryder, Reese, Gunnar, Slayton, Parker, Ava, Cooper, Addison, Alivia, Celeste, Thea, Autumn, Riggs and Wrenli; his siblings-in-law, Grace Duerksen of Marion, SD, Ruth Boehm of Sioux Falls, Johnny Hofer (Edna), Elmer Hofer (Evelyn) of Bridgewater, SD and Ruben Hofer (Marlene) of Sioux Falls; and also Jacob B. Hofer.
