He was predeceased by: his parents, Tilmer Tollefson and Hazel Tollefson (Benson); his brothers, Theodore, James, Daniel and Roger; and his close friend Chuck Stokes.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey Nissen; his children, Barry of Elkton, SD, Randy (Bridget Flannery) of Flandreau, SD, Deb Shumaker (Tony) of Humboldt, SD and Terry (Kristie) of Pipestone, MN; his sister-in-law Evelyn King; and his close friends, Larry Anderson, Diane Stokes and Loretta Stokes. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
