She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Hul and Amelia Vant Hul (Eide); her husband Richard D. Peterson; and her siblings, Edward, Robert Vant Hul and Myrna Bethel.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dolores "Dee" Peterson of Sioux Falls, SD and Darla Tuch (David) of Hartford, SD; her grandchildren, Chris Brandsgaard (Kristy) of Sioux Falls, SD, Stacy Tuch (Collin Pearson) of Alcester, SD and Michael Tuch of Sioux Falls, SD; and her brothers, Roger Vant Hul of Sioux Falls, SD, Roland Vant Hul (Marlys) of Sioux Falls, SD, Verlin "Dick" Vant Hul (Elizabeth) of Sioux Falls, SD and Dennis "George" Vant Hul of Trent, SD. She is also survived by two great-granddaughters; one great great-grandson.
