It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice G. Thielsen of Flandreau, South Dakota, who passed away on November 4, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Vernon, Marion, Kenneth Whaley and Elaine Elhoff; her grandchildren, Philip Schauer and Amber Schauer; her great grandchild Madison Schauer; her nephews, Philip Elhoff and Vernon Whaley Jr.; her great-nephew Jason Elhoff; her parents-in-law, Raymond and Gertrude Thielsen (Cobb); and her siblings-in-law, Donna Whaley, Helen Whaley, Hazel Whaley, Ben Elhoff, Dale Thielsen and Howard Thielsen.
She is survived by: her husband George; her children, Sheri Schauer (Randy), David (Joy) and Daniel Thielsen (Kristy); her grandchildren, Josh Schauer (Danica), Matt Schauer, Jesse Schauer (Holly Morton), Kristin Thielsen-Montero (Jake), Ben Thielsen (Kelsea) and Allison Thielsen-Potter (Cole); and her great grandchildren, Zeny and Jayla Schauer. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as her extended family.
