He is survived by: his significant other Laura; his children, Nicole Nelson (Lloyd Lange) of Flandreau, Skye Nelson of Flandreau and Meryl Nelson (Daren Stambach) of Bruce, SD; his granddaughters, Amber and Ashley Lange; and his siblings, Gary Nelson (Susan) of Grand Marais, MN, Jeff Nelson of Pipestone, MN, Toni Taylor and Shelley Nelson.
