He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Hein and Genevieve Hein (Kast); his siblings, Fred, Walter, Robert, Edwin Jr., Gustav Arthur, Doris Devine, Edna Teske and Ruby Roth; and his daughter-in-law Lisa Hoffman.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Zoss Hoffman; his sons, Brad Hoffman, Brent Hoffman, Bob Hein (Jodi) and Bill Hein (Tracy McWhorter); his grandchildren, Jason Hoffman (Amy Miller), Wade Hoffman (Addie), Dylan Hoffman, Lee Hoffman and Alyssa Hoffman; his great grandchild Harper Hoffman; his sister Gert Hein; and his daughter-in-law Liz Hoffman.
