He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Deiter and Doris Deiter (Matter); his father-in-law Milton Nelson; and his sister-in-law Sharee Fritzemeier. He is survived by: his wife Beth Nelson; his daughters, Shauna Remily (Zach) and Chelsea Odden (Adam); his grandchildren, Landry, Cohen, Lainey Remily, Scotti, Brooks and Cruz Odden; his siblings, Barb Schilder (Bill), Doug Deiter (Sandy) and Dar Kolda (Buck); his mother-in-law Ramona Nelson; and his siblings-in-law, Scott Nelson (Lavone) and Monique Reed (Bret).
In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Roger's honor has been established at Dacotah Bank in Faulkton. Memorials will be given to organizations that were important to Roger.
