He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Barnes (Bacon) and Milford Barnes; and his former wife Nila Potter. He is survived by: his wife Nila Miedema (Huron); his children, Dr. Sylvia Anderson (JD) of Faulkton, David Barnes (Theresa) of Yankton, SD and Rachel Miller (Chris) of Kalispell, MT; his grandson Adam Anderson (Bailee); his great grandchildren, Brynlee, Willow, Oaklynn and Ella; his grandchildren, August, Aidalisa Anderson, Caleb, Luke (Brenna), Calli, Nathan Barnes, Noelle Bell (Casey) and Naomi Miller; his sister Rosetta Simons (Kenny); and his nieces, Amanda, Kelly, Teresa and Kristen.
Richard's family would like any memorials directed to Faulkton Area Medical Center Foundation's Doctors scholarship, or the mental health charity of your choice.
