She was predeceased by: her parents, John Eckert and Marie Eckert (Koerner); and her siblings, Harold, John, Milo, Melvin Eckert, Edna Joy and Vera Portenova.
She is survived by: her husband Maynard Downen of Fairburn, SD.; her children, Nadine Downen of Rapid City, Nancy Ashley (Jack) of Rapid City, Roger Downen of Fairburn, SD, Gary Downen (Desso) of Phoenix Arizona and Barbara Downen (Joe Jansen) of Rapid City; her grandchildren, Adam, Hunter Whitmyer (Missy) of Denver, Regan Ashley (William) of Kyle, Cassidy Downen of Rapid City and Levi Jansen of Sturgis, SD; her great grandchildren, Aurthur, Lincoln Whitmyer, Skylar Wald, Kennedi Trupe and Hadrian Ashley; her sister Irene Willoughby of Midland, SD; and her sister-in-law Gaile Eckert of Rapid City. She is also survived by other relatives and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Ours Savior's Lutheran Church in Hermosa, SD and the Hospice House of Rapid City, SD.
