We are sad to announce that on June 29, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Willis M. Schnabel of Eureka, South Dakota. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Willis is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Willis' spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Lyda Schnabel (Bentz) and Edmund H. Schnabel. He is survived by : his wife Nancy Ackerman; his children, Michele Vander Laan (Tim) of Bismarck, ND and Grant Schnabel of Stoddard, WI; his brother Gary Schnabel (Geraldine) of Yankton, SD; his granddaughters, Brittany, Katie, Allie, Reagan and Kennedy; and his great grandchild Aspen.

Visitation was held on Monday, July 1st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lien-Straub-Carlsen Chapel (702 8th St, Eureka, SD 57437). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Eureka Reformed Church (310 F Ave, Eureka, SD 57437).
