He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Joseph and Mary Ann Hammrich (Biegler); and his siblings, Tillie, Steve, Mary Jane, Joseph, Albert, John, Lawrence "Hip", Leonard, Leo and Jake.

He is survived by: his wife Juanita Rose Novak; his children, Dr. Penny L. Hammrich of Philadelphia, Nick Hammrich (Krysta) of Eden Prairie and Peggy Hammrich Heinz (Dennis) of Huron; and his grandchildren, Houstyn, Hyland, Havyn, Hamtyn, Hylton, Mason, Avery and Kaden.

“In loving memory of Harvey Hammrich, Someone so special will not be forgotten. I first met Harv in 1952. He was always a great conversationalist and interesting. Played baseball with Harv a couple of summers and along with our Manager (Oscar Schumacher and scorekeeper Hip Hammrich) have many great memories. Harv could pitch and play shortstop.”
