Mary Paulsen Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Paulsen of Ethan, South Dakota, born in Hendricks, Minnesota, who passed away on November 21, 2022 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Seas and Blanche Seas (Murphy); her husband Norman Paulsen; her siblings, Kenneth (JoAnn), Shirley (Arlene) and Elaine (Mack); and her brother-in-law Chris.

She is survived by: her daughters, Deb Jangula (Robert) of Alexandria, SD, Dawn Lingemann (Lyle) of Ethan, SD, Kim DeRouchey (Roger) of Alexandria, SD, Kathy Engbrecht (Doug) of Madison, SD and Renee Gullickson (Tim) of Colman, SD; her granddaughter Nicole VanLeur (Griff); her great grandchildren, Leighton and Oakley; her grandson Luke Lingemann (Terra); her great grandchildren, Emerson, Cruz and Dax; her grandson Tanner Engbrecht (Morgan); her great grandchild Paisley; her granddaughter Mandy Anderson (Tayler); her great grandchild Paxton; her grandchildren, Chandler Gullickson, Austin Gullickson and Rich DeRouchey (Mae); her great grandchild Robbie; her granddaughter Erica Richards (Darin); her great grandchildren, Emmy and Rylee; her grandchild Tad DeRouchey (Sarah); and her sisters, Myrna Jensen and Virginia Hillestad (Rich). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many, many dear friends.

Marlys donated pies for many fundraisers and each year took homemade rolls to the teachers in Ethan.
