We are sad to announce that on November 24, 2024, at the age of 60, Scott James Bates of Estelline, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his parents, Morris Bates and Patricia Bates (Rydjord); his wife Pam of Estelline, SD; his children, Joshua Bates (Amber) of North Liberty, IA, Aaron Bates (Tricia) of Hartford, SD, Elizabeth Reuer (Rocky) of Kalispell, MT and Ellen Fischbach (Andrew) of Warner, SD; his grandchildren, Cecil, Annika, Ethan, Coraline, Lachlan, Elinor, Viola, Otto, Marian and Amelia; and his siblings, Charlene Aparicio (Javier), Cathy Westby (Patrick) and Greg Bates (Julie).
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Eidsness Funeral Home (1617 Orchard Dr, Brookings, SD 57006). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Although floral arrangements are appreciated, donations are preferred to the Lake Region Golf Club in Arlington, SD.
