He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Simon and Lena Simon; his son Todd; and his brothers, Clem, Richard, Stephen Jr. and Gene.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Jean Hoff; his children, Mark (Elizabeth), Doug (Molly), Eric (Gena), Michelle (Doug Tvedt), Deanna (David Stelter) and Jennifer (Blaine Radtke); his grandchildren, Alyssa, Sara, Emily, Matthew, Isaac, Emelia, Michael, Marlee, Ashely, Perrin, Logan, Sadie, Josey, Eli and Victor; and his great grandchildren, Hazel and Nora.
In lieu of flowers, a charitable donation can be made to the Estelline American Legion Post 184.
