He was predeceased by: his parents, John Saathoff and Dora Saathoff (Heibult); his wife Evelyn VanDykHorst; and his granddaughter Charity Dawn Saathoff. He is survived by: his close friend Stanley Lundquist; his children, Larry Saathoff, Dale Saathoff (Pam), Russ Saathoff, Connie Saathoff and Julie Johnston (Mark); and his grandchildren, Monica, Miranda, Pauline, Vickie, Kristi, Jason, Jennifer, Bryan and Kaitlin. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
