He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Bunger and Mary Bunger (Wobig); and his wife Susie. He is survived by: his stepchildren, James Hofer (Pam), Jerry Hofer (Jean), Bonnie Engbrecht (Jerry) and Carrie Hofer; and his stepgrandchildren, Nick Hofer (Lisa), Chad Hofer, Luke Engbrecht (Bobbi Jo), Wendy Quam (Ryan), Joe Janssen (Stephanie) and Anne Janssen. He is also survived by 12 step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bittner Funeral Chapel (805 W Havens Ave, Mitchell, SD 57301).
