It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Orvel Dreesen of Elkton, South Dakota, born in Pipestone, Minnesota, who passed away on February 16, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Dreesen and Aalke Dreesen (Groen); his grandson-in-law Jake Gonnerman; his siblings, Anna Mae Green (Bill), Dick Dreesen (Dolores), Ben Dreesen (Thelma) and Aleida Meyerhoff (Harry); and his parents-in-law, Bruno and Anna Harms.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Harms; his uncle George; his aunt Arlene; his children, Tania Heikes (Randy), Kevin Dreesen (Glenda), Chad Dreesen (Becca) and Jerry Dreesen of Ellsworth; his grandchildren, Jessie (Curt), Kristy, Britney (Brian), Courtney, Glen, Devin, Morgan and Brekkyn; and his great grandchildren, Ashton, Vaughn, Alena, Layne, Penelope, Amelia, Wesson and Smith.
