It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold Elroy Hegerfeld of Elkton, South Dakota, who passed away on April 16, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Hegerfeld and Anna Hegerfeld; his wife Genevieve Ann Hurney (G'Ann); his siblings, Lambert Hegerfeld, Margaret Speers, Arlene Fischer and Marvin Hegerfeld; and his great grandchild Kate Sawyer Fairbanks.
He is survived by: his children, Anna Marie Erickson (Hartman), Frederick Hegerfeld (Laura), Mary Harvey (Tim), Sue Davis (John), Charles Hegerfeld (Toni) and Pat Hegerfeld (Alan Kovanda). He is also survived by his children, 19 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren, as well as his special family of in-laws.
